Flirty Flamingo Ice-cream

 Flirty Flamingo is our featured colour in this week's Monochromatic Instagram Hop with the #craftycollaborations crew. 

This card was made using the Ice Cream Swirl bundle from the mini catalogue. I stamped the ice cream image with Flirty Flamingo ink and then coloured in with my Flirty Flamingo Blends markers. I like the way the colouring turned out - deliberately a little messy/wonky lines.

The ice cream cone was die cut from Flirty Flamingo card stock and then I used a blending brush to add ink around the edges for some depth.

The strawberry on top has some Fine Tip Glue over the top for a glossy finish. 

The background was embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

Artistic Melon Mambo

This card is another from the Monochromatic series on Instagram. Melon Mambo is the featured colour here. Melon Mambo is from the Brights collection of colours.

I used the Artistically Inked bundle  - the large die makes a great background piece. Remember to use the Adhesive Sheets on the back before you cut it out so it's easy to adhere.

Blending brushes and Melon Mambo ink around the edges of the layer add some depth.

I finished the card off with some iridescent rhinestone gems - they match so many colours!

Poppy Parade and Lovely Ladybug

 

The Lovely Ladybug bundle is retiring soon. Do you have it in your stash? It's a great one for quick and cute cards and scrapbooking.

Poppy Parade works so well with it. I've paired that with Basic Black and White.

The Dots and Spots die is also retiring soon. I think it is perfect for a ladybug card to highlight the spots on her wings.

Starry Sky

Starry Sky is the colour for the latest monochromatic Instagram hop and the name of the colour dictated the stamp set choices to me. 

I've used the "In the Stars" stamp with White Craft Ink to create the background. I thought about using shite embossing powder over the top but decided against it - I like the way the White Craft Ink dries down to a softer colour. If you want bright white, then cover with white embossing powder.

I then used the Reach for the Stars bundle for the sentiment and the focal image of the space shuttle. 

Finally a few matte dots from the matching In Colour collection and the card is done. Super simple really, but I think it's quite effective.

Tahitian Tidal Wave

This week our colour is Tahitian Tide. Of course I had to go with an ocean theme for this one ;-) 

I've used the Waves of Inspiration stamp set here. I stamped the large wave image using White Craft ink (or you could use Versamark) and then heat with with White embossing powder. 

Then I used a blending brush to add Tahitian Tide ink over the top for the "emboss resist" technique. The white embossing resists the blue ink. 

I like how this makes it look like sea foam. The label die comes from the coordinating Waves die set and the sentiment is also embossed with White powder. 

The twine is from the 2022-2024 In Color bakers twine. I hope you liked this card.

Sending Sweet Sorbet Love

Sweet Sorbet is our Monochromatic colour scheme this time.

I've used the Sending Love bundle with its cute mailbox. 

This would have been a cute Galentine's card for a long-distance friend don't you think?

The background paper is from the Bee Mine collection. The matte dots are the 2022-2024 In-Color collection - I like the way they have variation in shade to give an ombre effect.
