Boyne Island Make and Takes

Here are the make and takes we did on Saturday.

Bugs and Kisses Birthday Card

Stamps: Bugs and Kisses, Canvas Background
Inks: Creamy Caramel ink pad, Bold Brights Markers (real red and tempting turquoise)
Papers: Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Real Red
Accessories: Mat Pack (for paper piercing), Turquoise ribbon, stapler

----------------------------------------------------

Artfully Asian Bookmark

This bookmark could also be used as an element on a card or scrapbook page.

Stamps: Artfully Asian, Canvas Background
Inks: Basic Black, Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme
Papers: True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Whisper White
Accessories: Blender Pens (for watercolouring with the cranberry and thyme inks), Wine ribbon, Vintage Brads

Plain and Simple

These two cards are what I demonstrated at the Boyne Island workshop. We then went on to do make and takes which I will post afterwards. The idea was to show how to make cards simply and easily and on a budget! You will notice that they use very little in the way of supplies. Each card cost no more than 30 cents for the cardstock.

Eat Cake

Stamps: Eat Cake
Inks: Versamark
Papers: Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Stampin' Pastels (chalks), sponge daubers

Bugs and Kisses

We used the markers on this card only because it saved me bringing up extra ink pads and because the hostess had those markers so I was showing her some colour combos she could do with her current supplies. You could do this card with Lovely Lilac and Gable Green ink pads instead of the markers and versamark.

Stamps: Bugs and Kisses
Inks: Bold Brights Markers, Versamark
Papers: Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White
Accessories: None

Home again!

Well I'm home from my little holiday up north. I will post some pictures of the projects made at my workshop. It was lovely in the pergola area of the cafe. We had lots of room to spread out and create. I didn't end up having time to take photos on the day but have taken some now that I am home.

Mini Explosion Album

On Saturday June 2nd I will be holding a class where we will make a little fold out album. The class is $5 and I still have a number of spots available. If you would like to attend please let me know ASAP so I can make sure I have enough materials ready.

Mini Holiday

Well today Toby and I are off on a little holiday. We are flying up to Gladstone (Toby's first plane ride!) and we will be staying with my friends Mel and Rowen and their little boy Bailey. While I'm there I will be doing a little workshop for her friends. It will be at a cafe which I think is a great idea! No food preparation for the hostess and no cleaning up after - perfect! I will post some pictures of our projects when I get back home on Sunday.

My next idea is to tidy up my stamping space and then post a photo of that for you to see. Poor Matt was getting tired of me taking over the dining table for days at a time with all my stamping stuff so we decided to make a space just for me in the study. Now I have a nice little spot for creating my cards and other projects and we can eat at the table again! Pics to follow soon.

Terrific Tulips

This is one of the first cards I made after becoming a demonstrator. It's a very easy card to do and doesn't require much in the way of materials. I think these colours suit the tulips really well. Yellow tones also look great with this stamp set.

Stamps: Terrific Tulips, Wonderful Words
Paper: Whisper White, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss
Inks: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss

My First Post!

Hi everyone, I've decided to create a blog for my friends and customers to see what I am up to when it comes to stamping. I just hope I can learn how to do this whole blogging thing without too much trouble!

I'm going to have to do a bit of playing around to figure it all out but my intention is to post images and instructions for projects such as cards and scrapbook pages. I will also list my classes and other events here.

Ok, well I'll see how all this business works and post again soon!
