Baby Bear Blues Card

Each month my team participate in a card swap.  Last month our theme was "Blue" and here is my card design.

I used the Baby Bear stamp set for this card.  Often we think of teddy bears in shades of brown or beige but really they look great in just about any colour!  I remember my eldest child received a blue teddy bear when he was born so I figured that a bear stamped in shades of blue would look good too.

Baby Bear is such a gorgeous stamp set but you do need some patience and a good eye for lining up the stamps correctly to get the 3D effect.

I used one of the layers of the bear stamp to create the background on the card - I stamped it "randomly" all around the background - Soft Sky ink on Soft Sky cardstock.

The main bear is stamped using 3 colours - Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Dapper Denim.

I like to use the Stampin' Pierce Mat underneath my card stock when I am stamping with photopolymer stamps such as these. It gives some cushioning to help the whole image stamp out nicely onto the paper.  Photopolymer stamps don't have their own cushioning like rubber stamps do.
If you don't have a mat for using with photopolymer stamps I highly recommend the one I use.  You can click the image below to purchase one in my online shop.

Hey Chick!

I just love the Hey Chick stamp set from the Sale-a-bration brochure. If you love chooks then you NEED this stamp set! With only a couple of days left of sale-a-bration you'll need to be quick.

These cards were super quick and easy to make.  I stamped the chickens in Staz-On ink onto Watercolour paper and then coloured with Watercolour Pencils and my Aqua-painter.

I've used the hexagon 3D embossing folder (it reminds me of chicken wire!) and the finishing touch is the Enamel Shapes - I am loving the enamel shapes!

Custom Tee Swap Card

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for March 2017. This month our theme is the "Last call for Sale-a-Bration". Did you know that Sale-a-Bration finishes at the end of this month?? NOW is the time to make sure you have collected all the wonderful Sale-a-Bration products for FREE that won't be available after this month.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Bec Ross - or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

My card today is one I created for a Team Card Swap. We aim to do these swaps on a monthly basis. It's a fun way to have a variety of cards in your stash and a also a great way to make sure you are using all those lovely products you've been collecting ;-)

I've managed to use 3 of the products I received for FREE during Sale-a-bration so far - Carried Away DSP, Glimmer Paper, and the Designer Tee stamp set that co-ordinates with the Custom Tee bundle from the Occasions catalogue.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - BEC ROSS, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Tasty Trucks and Tasty Treats

A sweet and simple card for you today as part of a blog hop I am participating in for the first time!
I am making 10 of these for a team card swap I am hosting this month. When you're making multiples of a card it's best to keep it simple.  It will take me a bit of time to do the colouring on the truck so I've kept the rest of the card quick and easy.

The truck is from the Tasty Trucks stamp set, only available until the end of this month for FREE by placing a $90 order.
I stamped the truck in Basic Black Archival ink onto Shimmery White card stock.  Then I coloured it using my watercolour pencils and a blender pen.
The shiny heart is an enamel shape from the Subtles collection.

The card base is Watermelon Wonder - which is a retiring colour this year!  If you love this colour, I highly recommend grabbing and extra pack of card stock and and ink refill bottle BEFORE the end of April because once the retiring list is announced, the in-colours sell out very quickly.

I love the embossed ice-creams on the designer series paper Tasty Treats.  It adds some shine without any effort! (although the shine doesn't show up very well in my photograph, sorry)

Nailed It Birthday Card with money pocket

I made this card for my brother's birthday this week.  The Nailed It Bundle was PERFECT because not only is he a tradie, he's also building a shed at his place and I wanted to give him a gift to help with that.  I decided to give him cash so that he can get exactly what he wants for the shed.

It was really fun to play with the stamps and dies to create the tools on the font of the card. I used Silver Foil paper and some plain cardstock. I stamped the images with Staz-On ink because the Silver Foil paper is shiny and Staz-on works great for that kind of surface.

The money holder on the inside of the card is simply a rectangle of DSP just folded at the edges and glued into the card to create a pocket.

I've also used stamps from the B.Y.O.P. stamp set - buy your own present!!  If you tend to give cash and gift vouchers as gifts, you need this stamp set in your life, its just perfect for that.  Not just for birthdays either, it covers many other occasions.

I always love to decorate the envelope to match so I stamped the little nails stamp with Basic Grey ink.  Fun!  See below for a list of products I used. You can even click on the items to purchase them yourself!  If you'd like to receive free products with your online order, please contact me so I can help you.  If you are purchasing today or tomorrow (Feb 27 or 28) you can use this code at the checkout and receive a free gift from me: PXRPVQSQ
